A Tribute to President Musharraf

To Musharraf: Don’t Even Think Of Resigning

We, the Patriot Pakistanis, ask President Musharraf not to give up to the criminals who looted this country ruthlessly in the past and are ready to do it yet again. We request His Excellency Mr. President to keep his morale up and find trustable and honorable allies to be his right hand and stay in power because, Mr. President, at the end of the day, Pakistan needs you.

By FASIH ALI KHAN

LAHORE, Pakistan—President Pervez Musharraf, one of the finest leaders Pakistan has produced in recent times, has shocked patriot Pakistanis all around the world by hinting that he may go after the general election if the politicians went hostile on him.

We are all deeply touched and fear a gloomy future for our great homeland, Pakistan, in the hands of corrupt, power hungry and reckless politicians. I can empathize with the way President Musharraf might be feeling right now at the outright betrayal to his services by the enemies of the state and the silence of a majority of Pakistanis on this.

Our dreadful and disgusting politicians, like Mr. Nawaz Sharif, Mr. Asif Zardari, Mr. Imran Khan and other losers, have created instability in our homeland.

Lawyers, a.k.a. ‘liars’ in Pakistani parlance, whose leaders are on the payroll of God knows whom, have started their ‘agitation’ against a government that has been one of the best in our sixty-year democracy and has transformed a nearly failed economy, thanks to our reckless politicians, to one of the fastest growing economies of the world.

The Musharraf administration has brought a media revolution in a closed society like ours, introduced real democratic values of decency and tolerance, managed social reforms, established Pakistani culture at the world stage, worked on Kashmir dispute so aggressively that the enemy felt shock waves both in the corridors of diplomacy and on the ground in Occupied Kashmir, plus time and again talked about Muslim issues and root causes of terrorism and the need to address them.

These are some of the achievements of our able President. We, the Patriot Pakistanis, ask President Musharraf not to give up to the criminals who looted this country ruthlessly in past and are ready to do it yet again. We request His Excellency Mr. President to keep his morale up and find trustable and honorable allies to be his right hand men and stay in power because, Mr. President, at the end of the day, Pakistan needs you.

Pakistan Paindabaad.

That was a letter that I have sent to our President.

But in addition to that, I’d like to say something about democracy.
There’s a loud noise in every corner of our country to ‘bring back democracy’ to our nation. A short sighted, power hungry segment of our society that also happens to have a short memory is making these demands.

I am saddened to see that the reforms President Musharraf’s administration made in the last eight years are going down the drain because of these ‘democratic’ movements. I am touched to see the silence in our civil sector against the looters who are making a comeback. I feel ashamed to be part of a society that is betraying its well-wishers, the Musharraf regime, by their silence. This is a regime that has given our great homeland so much:

1 . Self Esteem
2 . Open Media
3 . Cultural Growth
4 . Remarkable Economic Reforms
5 . Governance to our door steps (Local Bodies System)
6 . Decent political culture of respecting Opposition on TV shows
7 . Making the world community realize the root causes of terrorism on United Nations
8 . Raising Muslim issues by him on U.N. floor every year including Kashmir & Palestine.

God Bless Pakistan. I wish we the citizens of Pakistan realize our duties and knock out the looters and characterless people, throw them out of Pakistani politics by kicking them out in our upcoming votes.
